January 2012 Meeting Pics
Lots of folks at the meeting this January. What a good crowd!
Thanks to Jim Bradley for giving us an introduction to TRIZ.
Michael Rusher spent some time walking us through his invention, a medical device for respiratory therapy. Very cool, Michael!
Dan Templeton and Ace McKay whiteboarded Ace’s invention (which we will leave confidential for now). Good luck figuring out the concept from this sketch.

December 2011 Meeting
Wow!
What a difference that a Journal Gazette article makes! We saw eight new faces here at the Fort Wayne Inventors Club this month.
Here are some of our new faces.
Here is one of our new visitors explaining his invention to the crowd.
Our youngest inventor, Elora, was enjoying herself here today, too. We’re not sure what she was inventing today, but we’re sure she was making something that will change the world.
Come see us next month and join in on the fun!

Inventors Club Gets Some Press
Big thanks to Jeff Wiehe of the Journal Gazette for writing a great article about our November meeting! You can read it here.
November 2011 Meeting
This month we saw a nice mix of Inventors Club veterans and new folks.
We caught Mike Forkert in mid-smile and mid-pizza.
A lot of the discussion today revolved around why companies should (or should not) monetarily reward employees who invent valuable or money-saving solutions, regardless of whether they have employment agreements in place that state the employer already owns the idea. It is a company culture thing – some companies find it important to create more incentive for invention with reward systems, while others don’t.
We at the Inventors Club reward our attendees with pizza. By the way, big thanks again to Pizza Hut for donating the pizza!
October 2011 Meeting
Three new folks came to the meeting today, representing 2 new inventions!
One person has invented a new iPhone / iPad app. Another couple has created an unique accessory for musical instruments. Very cool!
Mike Forkert, Dave Gross and I had a great talk with them about protecting IP and entrepreneurship using the Lean Startup “get-in-the-market” technique. The most interesting thing was that we were able to direct all three people to some resources to carry their projects forward – coders, manufacturers, etc.
Come visit us next month and maybe we can help you out as well!
