Thanks to Mark Richter of Indiana Tech’s C3 (Center for Creative Collaboration), the Inventors Club has a new home base for meetings!
The C3 is located in the brand new Academic Center building at Indiana Tech’s campus just east of downtown (bordered by Washington, Jefferson, and Anthony). The space and C3 program is designed to help tech entrepreneurs grow companies.
It is a comfortable space to meet – here’s the group at the September meeting.
To be notified about meeting dates and times, join the Fort Wayne Inventors Club Meetup group at meetup.com.
The next meeting of the Fort Wayne Inventor’s Club will be Saturday, May 11th at the Allen County Public Library downtown, at 2 PM in meeting room B. No admission or dues are required.
Metered street parking is free on Saturdays and also free (if you have a library card) in the underground parking garage beneath the library (enter on Wayne Street).

Saturday, April 13th, 2013, marked the Fort Wayne Inventors Club annual Pizza Hut meeting. We hold one of our meetings each year at the East State Pizza Hut location to say “Thank you” and give them some patronage back. East State Pizza Hut generously donates pizza each month for our club meeting. Thank You East State Pizza Hut!!
We had a nice turnout for this meeting…Was it the Food? Location? Thought of Ending our Club Meetings? or better Weather? I don’t know, but the attendance definitely increased from our meetings the past few months. Around 17 people were in attendance. Some new ideas were introduced to the group and some familiar ones rehashed. We also had some first time attendees! We welcome anyone interested in inventing.

Next Month’s Meeting:

Price of Pizza Hut Pizza = Always FREE
Advice from Experienced Inventors = Always FREE
Knowledge Base of People in this Group = PRICELESS!
See you next month!
Sadly, we have learned that long time and very active member Dan Templeton passed away suddenly this past Sunday.
You can read his obituary in today’s Fort Wayne Journal Gazette. It highlights the richness of Dan’s life.
All of us here at the Fort Wayne Inventors Club remember Dan fondly. He was a leader and central figure of the group, always sharing his expertise generously. We wish his family the best at this sad time.
Please enjoy this photo gallery of memories.
Michael recently was awarded an Innovation Award from the Fort Wayne Business Weekly’s Innovation Awards in the Healthcare category.
Wow! Very cool!
Here’s the video they played at the award ceremony.
Are you hungry? We’re not.
Thanks to Dan Templeton, the group today enjoyed some Casa’s spinach lasagna and their signature Casa salad. As Homer Simpson would say, “Mmmmmmmmmmm, Caaaaassaaaaaaa’s.”
The next meeting of the Fort Wayne Inventors Club will be:
- Saturday September 8
- 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
- Allen County Public Library downtown on Ewing St. between Washington and Wayne in meeting room A.
No admission or dues are required. Metered parking on the street is free on Saturdays and also free (if you have a library card) in the underground parking garage beneath the library (enter on Wayne Street).
